Tonight is the 28th day of February. Tomorrow, my housemate gets the carport. What a fucking liberty! We swap it every month. We’ve been looking at a new place to live; somewhere with a lock-up garage for two cars. There’s just nothing out there in any decent suburbs at the moment.
There was this place, which seems OK, and is in an *OK* suburb. It has one carport and a driveway, so I guess it just depends on who gets home first
The kitchen is big, but the stove is ELECTRIC! Gahh! With old elements. That’s pretty horrifying, but unfortunately noone seems to want to upgrade rental appliances. It’s open at 10am tomorrow, so if I can get out of the office for half an hour, I’ll take a look.
Here’s a search of current places! Some of the suburbs could be mistakes, as I guessed a few, hoping they were Eastern!
Short lease! I don’t really want a townhouse anymore anyway…
But this one seems to have reduced in rent from $375/wk to $350.
Thoughts, thoughts, thoughts.
Tonight’s Listening: Alva Noto + Opiate – Opto Files 2 and Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto – Vrioon
I have not been able to find a reference to “Opto Files 2″ anywhere on the web. Only ever Opto Files.
Has anyone tried to get iScrobbler on OS/X to work with iTunes? I’ve wanted to get iTunes tracking what I listen to, and iScrobbler is supposed to send data back to last.fm‘s website. But it doesn’t. *sigh* Maybe I’m missing something.
Ahah! I’ve done some searching and it seems I was running a hideously outdated version of the software! 0.6.3! I might aswell shoot myself in the foot!
Anyway, I downloaded the latest version of iScrobbler, (from the right location this time!) and installed it. I usually (nay, always!) listen to music at night, so it will be interesting to see if any track info makes it back to the server this time. My profile page should hopefully have some info by morning!
Tonight’s listening: Jan Jelinek – Kosmischer Pitch
Why? Because I heard it once when I downloaded it months ago. I remember it not being as good as Loop-finding-jazz Records, but maybe that’s because quite often new albums sometimes take a little while to actually feel good!
Spent a whole lot of today doing some wardriving around Adelaide. I used my PowerBook, Garmin eTrex Legend, the Keyspan Serial Adapter, KisMac, a neat script that stitched together some Google Maps that I imported into KisMac (thanks, Justin!) and of course, my Nissan Pulsar Q to map some Access Points!
And here are some of the results!
Wardriving
The track got a bit out of whack occasionally, and some of that was due to poor satellite reception (thankyou, clouds!) and therefore slightly inaccurate base-waypoints to help line up your navigation on the map. It was a bit of fun, so I’ll go out and try again another time soon!
Contracts aren’t fun. For the last week I have been going over a contract we are about to get into with one of our customers. It’s long and lengthy, and I have to make substitutions and changes to it, then read it all over again to make sure nothing was missed. Not fun.
Well, this is a blog about stuff. There are lots of blogs out there, and let’s face it, they’re all about getting hits. Getting people to comment on things you’ve said and reply to it and say “totally” and “haha, that’s funny.”
Well let’s see what happens with this blog. It’s a total experiment, afterall.
Masturbation. Porn. Sex, cock. Will those words get me hits? Reply if that’s what you were after. I’m interested. In the response, I mean.
